Chicken wire is just so much fun to work with. It cuts easy and molds to fit any space and with any luck, it can be used to keep George the cat away from my seedlings.
I moved everything off the shelves and cut sections of chickenwire to fit the open sections of the shelves. Now, I can't say how well it will keep him out if he is determined to get in and graze, but it should stop him from sneaking in like the thief he is and maybe, just maybe, my little plants have a fighting shot to make it to the veggie garden.
I had to replant all of the cauliflower, leeks and scallions, but all of those popped up very quickly so I have hopes that the two weeks of growing I just lost won't set me back too badly. The garden is still covered in snow anyway so there's still time.
Or at least, I can hope there is.

I love this! I think chicken wire may be the only thing that will keep my cats out of my seedlings.
