When I removed the plastic covers to spritz the seeds this morning, I got the ever delightful surprise of finding tiny broccoli and cauliflower plants waiting to say hello. Checking back through last year's journal, I started my broccoli seeds on March 31 and on April 2, I had seedlings!
Now THAT's consistency.
According to last year's records, I should see tomato and pepper seedlings as well as the leek and shallot seedlings in the next two or three days.
I've been fighting with my grow lights as well. Is there anything more subtly annoying than a slightly flickering light? I suspect it has to do with the bulbs not sitting properly in their sockets although if this keeps up, I may have to go get a new lamp.
There are more seeds to plant today. The rest of the peppers and the fennel now have seedling flats so that's my project for the afternoon.
Yeah. This is gonna be good.
