AHHHHHH!!!!!

GAAAHHHH!!!!!!!

Still trying to get maximum fit in limited space. Refuse to cut any more plants. Saw the Van Doren Moon and Stars watermelon (purple and yellow!) in the Seed Savers Exchange catalog. Don't know what to do.

Would that all of life was as pleasantly diverting (and exasperating) as sitting on the sofa, eating Valentine's Day chocolates and trying to plan the garden.

Time's ticking by! Gotta at least get the leeks started soon.

Hi Chris---
I have a 7 or 8 seeds of Moon and Stars leftover from last year's supply. You are welcome to them if you'd like to try them. Oh my, the plants are gorgeous, with mottled leaves... precursors, I suppose to the mottled melons. But Moon and Stars needs a bit more time to mature than I can guarantee here in Zone 3. I'm opting for a couple of earlier (and smaller) varieties this year. Email me at upnorthminn at gmail dot com. I'd be happy to send them your way.

Hey Deborah-

You both rock and are a bad influence!! :)

I have tried and tried to figure out where to put them and I'm afraid I just don't have the space for them this year. I didn't even consider if the growing season would be long enough - I just saw them and had to have them. What varieties did you decide on?
